Germano V and Six H. 2022. Camden and Tower Historic District: Cultural Landscape Report, Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, National Park Service. Cultural Landscape Report. U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service. San Francisco, CA

The Camden and Tower Historic District is a vernacular development located in Shasta County, California, on what was originally Wintu land. The historic district demonstrates typical development patterns associated with early statehood, as many areas in the state were affected by the gold rush and subsequent decades of Euro-American settlement into the region. The purpose of this Cultural Landscape Report (CLR) is to provide a vision for Camden and Tower Historic District that fits within existing planning strategies for Whiskeytown National Recreation Area. The CLR goal is to preserve, restore, or rehabilitate the historic character of the historic district, while providing for opportunities to enhance facilities maintenance, resource management, and interpretive opportunities within the historic district.
