The third National Parks conference was held in 1915 at the University of California in Berkeley, California. The conference presenters and attendees consisted of Superintendents of the various parks, the principal Washington officers of the Department of the Interior who handled national park matters, and any independent organizations that had an interest in the problems of park administration. Representatives of all the transportation companies and concession companies involved with the parks were also invited to attend and speak. The purpose of the conference was to consider questions that arose in the development and administration of national parks in order to help the Department of the Interior make changes in regulations that dealt with the parks. The proceedings consist of transcript of each day's morning and afternoon session.
