This 2-page brief summarizes the 2020-2022 sampling seasons for amphibian monitoring at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. The park has two study sites in the Barataria Preserve, with each site containing 32 coverboards on the ground and 64 PVC pipes hung from trees. Field crews visit each site once every other month and record the amphibian species and numbers of individuals inside each pipe or under each board. Four treefrog species are regularly found inside PVC pipes: bird-voiced treefrog, grey treefrog, green treefrog and squirrel treefrog. Under coverboards, three species are regularly detected: the non-native greenhouse frog, the Gulf Coast toad and the Eastern narrow-mouthed toad.
