12-Point Plan: The Challenge

National Park Service. 1985. 12-Point Plan: The Challenge. National Park Foundation. Vermont

National Park Service Director William Penn Mott's management plan to strengthen public trust in the National Park Service, revitalize the organization, and assure its continued success over time. The plan provided an overview of 12 points and presented objectives for their implementation. The collaborative effort by regional directors and other senior managers, with comments from many groups and individuals, represented the first step in the rededication of the Service to the protection, preservation, and perpetuation of all units of the National Park System.
