Guilford Courthouse National Military Park, Water Quality Monitoring, Fiscal Year 2022

Brinley Buckley E and Wells B. 2023. Guilford Courthouse National Military Park, Water Quality Monitoring, Fiscal Year 2022. National Park Service

The Cumberland Piedmont Network Inventory and Monitoring Program began long-term water-quality monitoring at Guilford Courthouse National Military Park in fiscal year 2004. Water quality is measured quarterly in alternate years at three sites: Hunting Creek, Graveyard Spring, and beginning in fiscal year 2010, Hoskins Farm Spring. Based upon program requirements and findings of the water quality inventory, a set of parameters was chosen for long-term monitoring. These parameters include the field measures of water temperature, specific conductance, pH, and dissolved oxygen. Samples were also collected for Escherichia coli analysis. This brief summarizes data collected from November 4, 2021 through August 4, 2022 (FY22).
