This standard operating procedure (SOP) describes the process of programming recording schedules into automated recording devices (ARDs) used by the Southeast Coast Network (SECN) to monitor vocal anurans and landbirds. The ARD models covered by this SOP include Song Meter 4 (“SM4”) and Song Meter Mini (“SM-Mini”), developed by Wildlife Acoustics, Inc. ARD maintenance tasks are also addressed herein.
