The purposed of this Cultural Landscape Report (CLR) is to provide a vision for Scorpion Ranch and Smugglers Olive Orchard; both part of the Caire- Gherini Ranch Historic District located on Santa Cruz Island, Channel Islands National Park. The CLR updates the 2003 Caire-Gherini Ranch Historic District Cultural Landscapes Inventory for the Scorpion Ranch and Smugglers Olive Orchard portions of the cultural landscape, addressing the portions of the cultural landscape that are high priority areas for planning due to management needs, and use by park, concessionaire, and visitors. The CLR is tiered from the current General Management Plan (GMP) for the park.
