Over 4,000 acres of undeveloped lands along the San Mateo County coast comprise the GGNRA’s future Rancho Corral De Tierra De Tierra’s property holdings. One of the largest undeveloped pieces of land remaining on the Peninsula’s coast, the property is roughly bound by Mc Nee Ranch State Park at the north; the Montara Mountains to the east, the community of El Granada to the south and Highway 1 at the west. As a whole, Rancho Corral de Tierra features remarkable views from the coastal foothills to the Pacific Ocean, rich farmlands, and important watersheds. The Rancho Corral de Tierra property includes 5 sites: Cabrillo Farm, Japanese Wood Cabin Ruins, Ember Ridge, Ocean View Farm and Renegade Ranch. These properties, all located north of Highway 1, are working farms, active equestrian centers or residential remnants. Of the five clusters of built resources currently identified on the property, four contain buildings or structures that appear to be over 50 years of age. The property is ineligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
