Practical Preservation: Local Governments and 106 Projects

Michigan State Historic Preservation Office. 2022. Practical Preservation: Local Governments and 106 Projects. National Park Service, Michigan State Historic Preservation Office. Michigan

This bulletin serves to inform the Michigan public about their rights and responsibilities of consultation in relation to 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (1966). Providing feedback on the effects of proposed changes to a historic location or structure is necessary for project leads to fully understand the impact of their project. Project funding was provided in part by a Historic Preservation Fund grant to the Michigan State Historic Preservation Office, administered by the State Tribal Local Plans and Grants Division (P22AF01138).
