City of Rocks National Reserve: Acoustic monitoring report, 2008-2009

Brown E. 2010. City of Rocks National Reserve: Acoustic monitoring report, 2008-2009. Science Report. National Park Service. Fort Collins, Colorado

Throughout 2008 and 2009, park staff at City of Rocks National Reserve gathered acoustical data at nine sites. Each site was deployed for at least 25 days. Each site was located in one of four management zones: California Trail (Cal Trail), Recreation (Rec), Natural, or Historic Rural Setting (HRS). The data collected at each of the nine sites will be used to inform an upcoming revision of the park’s general management plan. The zones were defined in a 1995 management document (Comprehensive Management Plan, 1995).
