This project, begun with sporadic surveys from 1978 to 1990, attempted to quality suitable habitat and occurrence of Mexican spotted owl on the BLM Arizona Strip District, including adjacent areas managed by Grand Canyon National Park and Lake Mead National Recreation Area (Parashant National Monument). The project included work completed under grants from the Arizona Game and Fish Department.
