NETN Monitoring Weather and Climate (2012 - Ongoing)

Northeast Temperate Network. NETN Monitoring Weather and Climate (2012 - Ongoing). 2012. National Park Service

Supporting documents and datasets associated with aggregating and reporting on weather and climate for national parks located within the Northeast Temperate Network of the National Park Service's Inventory and Monitoring Division. The goal of this effort is to utilize existing weather and climate observing networks, stations, and other existing datasets to monitor and record relevant weather elements (e.g., air temperature and precipitation). The intent is to quantify one of the drivers of network park ecosystems, identify trends in these elements, and provide weather and climate data and summaries to park natural resource managers and other interested parties. Methods and sources have varied over the duration of this project - see Products associated with this reference for more information.
