The Northeast Temperate Inventory & Monitoring Network is one of 32 National Park Service Inventory & Monitoring Networks across the country established to conduct baseline resource inventories and implement sustained natural resource monitoring. Our mission is to collect, manage, and translate high-quality information about the condition of natural resources so that our national parks can make better-informed management decisions. This information is also valuable for supporting research projects, providing educational opportunities, and promoting better public understanding of park natural resources. The Northeast Temperate Network is comprised of thirteen national park units, each of which contains a rich and varied array of natural and cultural resources. These parks and their partners are dedicated to understanding and preserving the region's unique resources through science and education.
