Glacier National Park contains numerous and diverse cultural resources, and this project is an initial part of a program to identify these resources, determine their significance, and begin planning to provide for their care and management. The resulting report is largely architectural. But it is is understood that additional historical studies need to be accomplished. These are addressed in Section VI of this report, "Recommendations." In that section, an historical studies program for Glacier for the next five years is outlined. It is based on the projected development at the park as well as general management and legislative compliance needs. This portion of the report will be prepared by the project historian.
