Landbird inventory within Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve, 2002-2003. Data were compiled from existing sources to update EBLA records in NPSpecies and to develop the first comprehensive EBLA’s Bird Checklist. Information compiled to meet these two objectives came from the following sources: a literature review of park files (see literature cited), published records in books and periodicals (see literature cited; Appendices 1-5), personal field notes, and the field notes and interviews of knowledgeable local groups (eg. Whidbey Audubon Society) and individuals who have spent many years documenting and observing birds within the Reserve. Additionally, network organized and conducted a 1-year volunteer inventory at five locations within the Reserve. This information greatly aid in the development of EBLA’s Bird Checklist.
