Northern Colorado Plateau Network Bird Inventory, 4 Parks. 2001-2003

This two-year inventory of birds in four park units (Cedar Breaks NM, Fossil Butte NM, Golden Spike NHS, Timpanogos Cave NM) of the Northern Colorado Plateau Network (NCPN) of the NPS was designed to provide baseline data for and documentation of at least 90% of bird species expected to be present in those units. The inventory was conducted to determine general abundance and distribution of species and to identify species of special concern in the four park units. This information will be used to develop park-specific bird management guidelines. Point counts, incidental surveys, and area searches were conducted in 2001-2002.
