Hurricane Sandy Field Technician Support for Elevation Mapping of NPS Salt Marshes and other sites for Sea Level Rise Planning and Post- and Future Storm Evaluation
Rasmussen SA and Neil AJ. Hurricane Sandy Field Technician Support for Elevation Mapping of NPS Salt Marshes and other sites for Sea Level Rise Planning and Post- and Future Storm Evaluation. 2014-2017
This dataset was collected by staff of the Environmental Data Center (EDC) at The University of Rhode Island (URI) in cooperation with the Northeast Coastal and Barrier Network (NCBN) of the National Park Service (NPS) under the project: Field Technician Support for Elevation Mapping of NPS Salt Marshes and other sites for Sea Level Rise Planning and Post- and Future Storm Evaluation which is a modification to Task Agreement P13ACAC00891 of Cooperative Agreement P09AC00212 Elevation Mapping of Critical Park Areas for Planning and Post- and Future Storm Evaluation and Modeling. The data was collected from Fall, 2014 to Spring, 2016 at Assateague Island National Seashore (ASIS), Fire Island Island National Seashore (FIIS), and Gateway National Recreation Area-Sandy Hook Unit (GATE-SHU). Data listed under this project for ASIS, FIIS, and GATE-SHU include: 1. Geodatabase of salt marsh elevation points 2. Salt marsh elevation point data in tabular format 3. Survey report of each vector between elevation points and base station used 4. Short-term water level data and QA/QC reports for each salt marsh site 5. Vegetation data collected at each elevation point
