Carroll OW. 1965. Historic Structures Report, Part III: Architectural Data Section on McLean House Kitchen, Appomattox Court House National Historical Park. Historic Structure Report. U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service

This report covers the work involved in reconstructing the McLean House Kitchen. The narrative covers previous historical, archeological, and architectural reports that informed the reconstruction project; project contracting and preparation; and documentation of the construction process. This is supplemented by photographs and drawings, as well as the construction project progress report with costs. The detached Kitchen, Slave Quarters, and Ice House on the grounds of the McLean House were reconstructed in order to enhance the visual appearance of the exterior setting and to present a view of the property as it appeared in 1865.
