This report concerns the historic building complex in lower Canyon de los Frijoles of Bandelier National Monument, New Mexico. Excerpted from the Historic Structure Report that was in progress at that time, it addresses proposed construction activity for rehabilitating decaying wood members and installing insulated window sash (scheduled for FY85 day-labor construction). The primary emphasis for this proposed work was the buildings' canales and vigas. This work was proposed in order to halt ongoing deterioration and deter related deterioration to the adjacent woodwork, structural system, and interior fabric of the buildings. The document includes descriptions and illustrations of the existing conditions with treatment proposals. This section was one component of Development/Study Package Proposal No. 224, which also included rehabilitation to water, sewer, electrical, and gas systems; rehabilitation to flagstone and curbstone; and rehabilitation to security systems
