Harpers Ferry National Historical Park preserves historic resources and commemorates the historic events that occurred at and around Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. The park consists of portions of the Lower Town, the former Storer College campus, landscapes associated with the national historical park’s Civil War significance, and lands preserving the historic viewshed down the Potomac River. This restoration feasibility design report concerns the Gerarld B. Wager Houses (Bldgs. 8 and 9) and John C. Unseld House (Bldgs. 10 and 10a) in the Lower Town area of Harpers Ferry. The document primarily concerns the exterior walls and floor systems of the three historic pre-Civil War buildings. As a result of this study, is is concluded that the proposed restoration of Bldgs. 8, 9, 10 and. ruins 10-A is feasible and recommendations providing guidance for implementing this restoration are presented herein.
