This report was developed by a team of midshipmen students at the United States Naval Academy as a capstone project for their Ocean Engineering course: John B. Nowell III, Andrew D Lacosse, Matthew R. Padilla, Alexa K. Rizzo, and Giorgi Tsurtsumia under their adviser, Professor David Kriebel. The report is intended to support Fort Raleigh National Historic Site in managing coastal erosion along the northern shore of Roanoke Island. This project was completed in partnership between the United States Naval Academy Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering and the National Park Service, in efforts to support park needs along vulnerable shorelines.
