This survey report addresses architectural data for culverts #114, 116, 126, and 128 of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal. Culverts were constructed of masonry to conduct tributary streams under the canal to the Potomac River. The culverts were constructed to a standard specification to suit conditions and to handle the volume of the streams. The document describes construction materials, parts of the structure, and specifics of the four individual culverts which were constructed in 1834 and 1835. Includes measured drawings.
