Harpers Ferry National Historical Park preserves historic resources and commemorates the historic events that occurred at and around Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. The park consists of portions of the Lower Town, the former Storer College campus, landscapes associated with the national historical park’s Civil War significance, and lands preserving the historic viewshed down the Potomac River. This Historic Building Report concerns the Old Master Armorer's Residence (Bldgs. 34 and 35) and its outbuildings (Bldgs. 32 and 34a). Under Mission 66 planning, it is suggested that the second floor be made available for emergency offices. The first floor is to be restored to its residence appearance of pre-Civil War use, but visitors would not enter the structure.
